Our Mission Statement:
LifeStory church is a church for thinkers, seekers, and studiers who are not afraid to wrestle with the hard questions...We hope to restore confidence in the Word of God to the believer. To teach an understanding of how to "rightly divide the word of truth" separating the truth from mistranslated tradition and misguided cultural influence. Context matters! We believe that honest searching will lead to finding answers where answers are available to humanity. Jesus said: “‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened’” (Matthew 7v7-8). We believe that the Word of God comes alive when the key of Grace is inserted. It is a scarlet thread that runs through the entire Bible, Old Testament and New. We believe that Love and Mercy is the greatest tool we could use to touch the hurting and the lost. We are not in the business of trying to change behaviors, we believe in changing hearts, only then will Godly behaviors follow,... Only God can change the heart and Identity, Our part is done by simply pointing to Jesus, by loving them right where they are. We also believe that we are living in the last days, the final chapters of the this LifeStory. Therefore we accept our calling to be watchers, not found sleeping or surprised when Jesus returns. In light of this perspective we feel called to engage the issues of the day that threaten our Christian liberties. We chose to stand up, Stand on, and Stand for the Word of God. "A church that does not exist to reclaim heathenism, to fight evil, to destroy error, to put down falsehood, a church that does not exist to take the side of the poor, to denounce injustice and to hold up righteousness, is a church that has no right to be. Not for yourself, O church, do you exist, any more than Christ existed for Himself." -Charles Spurgeon
Our Present Vision:
We are in the early stages of launching a new church plant in West Nashville that embodies a heart for worship and passion for the study of Word of God. We ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with us in building a Holy Spirit led church that thrives on the same thing our experience with God does, Relationship.
